Don’t forget this coming Tuesday is our monthly meeting. Eats at 7, meets from about 8.

Points to discuss are the upcoming Autumn drive out in Staffordshire, and the WotY. If you still want to come and haven’t booked, it’s well worth it. Just contact the hotel direct (details attached).

And, dare I mention it??? The ‘C’ word is only 3 months away, so we need to think about our annual mealy-type thingy where we eat stuff of the season.

Those who are wanting to attend the Christmas meal on the 4th December, please bring along your deposits of £5 per person so it can be firmed up.

If you have menu choices, then that’s great too but they are not required until November’s meet (along with balances).

Not much left this year (NEC, Christmas meal, Not the Boxing Day Drive), but plenty on the table for next year. Any other suggestions, please bring them along.

Don’t forget this coming Tuesday (16th) is the East Midlands regional club night. Get there from around 7 for food, or 8-ish for the chinwag, beer and meeting proper.

There will also be the annual RO elections, and it’s not too late to stand or vote for someone else if they want to stand. Good luck to all the candidates, it’s looking like a tight contest, and the closest I’ve ever seen it. Calls cost 50p from land lines and considerably more from a mobile. Terms and conditions will be available on the night.

The Christmas social needs firming up too, so don’t forget your balances and menu choices.

Also, it’s the last time you can tell me if you’re going to the OPC open evening. Numbers required for catering purposes.

Club night for October is scheduled for the third Tuesday (18th). However, I am away at that time and as I didn’t manage to make the last meeting and there is much to discuss then I’d like to move the meeting BACK one week to Tuesday 25th October (it is not possible to move it forward).

Please note that those wishing to attend the Christmas dinner must bring with them their £5 per person deposit.

Apologies for this as those who know me will know that it’s a last resort to move club night.
