If you go here and download the original parts catalogue in PDF. Simon Watson might have a second hand one, but it will be 31 years old too. Once you have the part number, phone Porsche.

Hi Ken

Checking my PET confirmed what I thought - the speedo is one part and the odometer gear is not available from Porsche as separate part.

All far from lost though. Just call or email Roger Tyson at 928s R Us and he will be able to supply the part for you I'm sure, and will ensure it's correct for your MY.

Thank,s for the replies, sorry did,nt get back. Roger got in touch with me when he saw a post I,d made, just after I posted here, and as ever, anything you need for a 928 is available stateside.

The Odometer gear wheel arrived today :D , already got the binnacle out, and found a very good how-to on Rennlist, it was a relief to see the old gear wheel with "teeth" missing.., so now I,ve just got to put it altogether again
If you want to do it UK style, it,s a brand new speedo head needed

Good old Roger.

Why can't we have parts suppliers like that in the UK? Roger's British so it's not a cultural thing!

That would be asking for miracles that even Roger can't supply Brett!

Think of the cost in space and cash of keeping all the 928 carpet sets, in all the colours...

Hope you find a good solution soon. Maybe Paul A has a car with that interior?

Cheers

Adrian
