A friend has just asked me to post this on the forum to see if anyone can give some advice.
He's thinking of changing the water pump on a 4.5 turbo Cayenne,and wonder's if there is a specialbleeding requirments !!??
And the cost of a pump and gasket us £160.

We follow the factory procedure and use a vacuum bleeding system as the factory do, without this it can be a nightmare to bleed.
If he can, I would recommend he either borrows a vacuum coolant bleeder and follows the factory recommendations, or takes it to a independent specialist or a main dealer.. its a valuable engine to cook if you get it wrong.
