Well, I was using my 944 as much as I could last year until the snow came and then I laid it up thinking the snow would soon be gone.Wrong! Anyway after Christmas I had to have an operation and wasnt allowed to drive till recently. In January the lads from http://www.pecarspecialists.co.uk came and took it for its MOT and fitted a new Dansk Sport rear box along with a couple of other jobs, brought it back and put it in the garage. So today the sun was shining ,I took it down to the petrol station and filled it up(bad news). Then I went for a half hour drive and blew out some cobwebs, both mine and the cars and wow, what a fantastic car I have got!! :D The exhaust sounds great, the car handles really well and has enough power to keep me smiling for ages after I get out of it . :bounce: They say abscence makes the heart grow fonder and its true!

Yes totally agree! Used mine last week to go to work in after the battery died in the Suzuki. I actually came home the scenic route (Extra half hour.) Last night. Fantastic. Contrast with ordinary cars is amazing. Everybody was looking at it. Small children point at it. I gave it a blast through some roadworks & the guys stopped work to watch! Sounds fantastic & pulls like a train. Only problem is super is £7 a gallon & I got through £40 worth in four days. The Suzuki runs for over two weeks on that........ :blackeye:

I totally agree. After not using the 944 nearly enough last year, I've made a conscious effort to drive her....and this week she's covered over 1000 fantastic miles.....and I don't even care that I've used two and a half tank full's of BP's finest...sometimes you just have to!

Hope I can still get a smile when I take mine out.
Used it for 1000 miles last spring before my back went and it was stored until now. Hopefully get MOT sorted in the next week and then it's hopefully sorted and ready to enjoy.

Feel the need for a good run to clear the cobwebs from both of use :bounce:

Stuff it. Stuck £30 in & went for blast this afternoon. It's running so well now. The turbo clutch gives a crisp change. The mid range is incredible for a lux. It lopes past other cars. Pops nicely on the overrun. Sounds gorgeous. It may have cost a bomb but it's worth every penny! Should really be photographing it for Pistonheads but the sun wasn't shining so what the heck....
