As promised, here are a few pictures of one of our 944 race cars. It is this car which some of you may have seen at the AUTOSPORT 2010 show and Save Donington Parade.

Currently the car has been totally stripped down in preparation for 2011. Once rebuilt it will have a custom made 2.7 Turbo engine, introduction of GAZ's gold suspension range replacing our KONI set up will make a huge difference in the handling.

One of the most exciting developments going into the 2011 set up is a custom made rear axle which is being developed in house. This new rear axle set up totally eliminates all rubber components which have a negative effect on our race and high performance road cars. The rubber allows movement in the suspension and makes highly accurate race set ups much harder to obtain. High quality bearings along with custom made Powerflex parts will be replacing the standard rubber bushes, this design still allows the necessary movements in the suspension system but without the flex of the rubber! Its an exciting product which we hope to finish and test on circuit soon! Once proven on the race track like all our products, we will then be happy to offer it to our customers!

Bubble and Kick Racing are a new company that focus on high performance and motorsport vehicles. We offer many services and products that surround the Porsche 924/944/968 platform.

Keep an eye on this project, updates will be as regular as possible!

Aah, you noticed the dashboard! We had it recovered and remade the panel trim out of carbon fibre for the show. We're currently looking at the moment to get some moulds made up for this panel and the backing for the dash clocks so they can be remade in carbon if that interests anyone on here?

Is that a filler for a spare wheel well mounted fuel tank (like a 937 GTS's oil tank)?

Will you guys be at Autosport '11 - be nice to see it

Had a good chat with one of the team at the show earlier this year and liked a few of the little touches. It gave me a few ideas/pointers.

Are you going to be at the show in January? Would be good to see how the car has evolved.

deLUX - Yes, its a lightweight fibreglass bumper that has had holes drilled to further reduce the weight but also to reduce the drag. This is only temporary until we develop a flat floor and diffuser.

barks944 - If you are interested and can find other members will be interested we can start getting them made up. The dash has been recovered in a high quality alcantara that is UV resistant so that it wont fade. We're looking at flocking the dash on our rental Renault Megane R26.

DaveM - We're not getting a stand this year mainly because we've just bought a new workshop and because this year we were looking to attend more regional shows. The car will be at events this year though.

Any idea on the curb weight off your race car now? Iv noticed the removal off the glass, what about the rear hacth that glass is about 90 lb and them
Rubber rear spoilers are about 15-20lb I think?

Cover the door cards with the same stuff as the dash. Over on renlist there was some one design lot off carbon firbe parts, steering wheel, external door handles, dash, wings ect.

Erm, that's about 380kg lighter then stock. Not 2 sure what that works out in lbs. There's a lot off info and talk about weightlose over on renlist, some cars are add balist 2 meet race spec regulations. I thinking that's going 2 require a lot more replacement then mearly striping and removing. Maybe fibre glass panels and the like. All do iv heard half the weight in the wings is sound proffing and rot protection. Carbon fibre wheels and light tires can make a larger difference then there weight savings as there rotatin mass.

Here's what a weight caltour has spat out
Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 220
Weight without Driver (KG) : 900
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 248.37
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.65
0 - 100 (Secs) : 11.75

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 160
Weight without Driver (KG) : 900
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 180.63
0 - 60 (Secs) : 5.99
0 - 100 (Secs) : 16.24
60 - 100 (Secs) : 10.25

The adtion off that turbo engine even at only 60 extra bhp. Means the 0-100 would be same as 60-100 in the same weight!
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.43
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 94.25
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.33
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 95.35

60 - 100 (Secs) : 7.10
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.03
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 105.29
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.93
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 106.52
