Hi Brett, i recognise your username from Pistonheads. Thanks for replying.
I noticed when i was reading up that the Air con is a pretty expensive and complicated thing to get running right. I'll make sure i check it out before i buy. As well as all the electric functions.
Saw one for sale and the drivers seat electrics don't work although the seller could see the cables unplugged under the seat. Not much use if you cant get behind the wheel to drive it home

.
What year did they up the power output and move to a 4 speed auto from a 3?
Thanks,
Mark.
Hi MARK

Yes I used to be on PH before they banned me

Thats a habit of mine getting banned..no idea why as I am such a nice guy lol

Lol, if the seats unplugged, just plug it back in...what he really means is the seat wont move and he unplugged it as an excuse...
Only the very early 928s has the 3 speed auto from around 81/82 the hp went up and you got the 4 speed auto, although around 15% of ALL 928s are manual, but they hold a better price...
For your money, I would guess you should be looking for an 82 to 85 S or S2 (if you can afford the extra)
The S2 was 300 hp apart from the very last year 1986 (like mine) which got a 310 hp engine with twin dizzies and all S4 suspension and brakes (4 pot calipers etc)
Where are you in the country as I will always come with you for a look if you are near me in Bournemouth ?
All the best Brett
