I've read several reports on where to find this unit but I'm guessing they were for earlier model 944's because I cant find it anywhere.

On the Clarks garage guide, they mention early cars being fitted behind the radio and later models in the passenger footwell behind the kickplate.

They also state the part number begining with 911 _ _ _ _ for the late model ( How late ?? )

I know the 944S2 alarm module part number begins 928 _ _ _ _ so I'm guessing the clarks guide doesn't cover the 944S2 model.

I'm pulling my hair out with this now guys so if anyone can help.

Thanks in advance - Attached are some pics of my car before she got this fault !

Paul

I would guess its the same as a 968 in which case ithe alarm module is in the passenger footwell behind the ECU and the immobiliser is under the passenger seat.

Hello Paul
there are 2 parts to the alarm, one is in the fuse box and the other is in the passenger footwell area.On my car (1991 Turbo) it was tucked up the back around the area of the brake linkage and easier to get at by removing the glove box. It is a rectangular black box with a white multipin connector in one end.

I take no responsibility for this, you do this at your risk !
From a quick look at the wiring it appears to feed the power to the DME relay and bridging pin 1 to pin 3 (green wire to black/white wire) should sort it.

Hope that helps.

Its difficult to try to help you across three different threads Paul. Best to stick to one so we know where to check your progress and follow other posts. When your previous thread is updated everyone gets an update email which we won't get if you start another thread.

I asked you if you had 12v+ on terminal 30 of the DME relay socket but you never replied.

The answer to this question is important because it is the constant supply that feeds the fuel pump and ECU amongst other things.

If you answer my question I can help you bypass your alarm system and imobiliser if needs be.

I have full electrical schematics together with a Bosch Fuel Injection and Engine Management guide and there are thousands of threads and links that members can help with which we have collected over the years.
