The OP wanted to know what the turbo was like and we told him.

Best you read some of the posts on the 944 section then m8ee , or the web in general. A particular Volvo forum I sometimes go on is a prime example as there are some right mindless individuals bragging re their exploits daily. What I was saying was a fact but not a dig at any particular individual so please dont take it too personally , unless you are one of those irresponsible selfish people of course which I'm sure you are not

The speeding and how much you need to speed by part of my post was a very small part of it and not the main thrust of the post so no high horses are needed I assure you.

The main point I was making was that the 944 S2 was for me more than adequate to have fun on the public road as is a standard turbo and this was from the point of view of someoen who had owned the turbo's not the luxes.

I wasn't trying to be a road safety campaigner

High horses not dispatched!

The thread was drifting from the original point needlessly into the age old S2 vs turbo debate!

Turbo's are better though!;-) kidding!

Mas the road safety campaigner!

Stuart

The turbo is a stressed engine & mod-ding one without rebuilding it first is just asking for trouble! Plenty out there have had a rod through the block. Most lux's are a shadow of there former self typically around 100 hp which is why theres such a contrast. Messed with turbos myself years ago when the only turbo on the road that worked was a Saab. Not nice on the road as the lag meant you never had the power when you needed it. I'm a N/a man now no question. My lux may not have the power of a fit turbo. But it sounds far better.
