Regional meets regular info etc

Hi Guys. Firstly, I live in Surrey, so would be interested in coming to the monthly regional meets when possible. Only thing is there is there is not much info posted on the board as to where or when they are. I received a PM saying there was one last week 8 July, but from what I can make out it's the 2nd Tuesday each month for SE Region - but where?

The only info I can find seems to be somewhat out of date & one thread saying it is Fridays.....which was posted in January and is the latest:

The Crownpoint has changed hands & was closed for refurbishment around Jan 7th!
I’ve finally managed to get some sense out of someone & find out that it won’t reopen until Feb 10th e.g. after our meeting this Friday.

So how does this work- do they move about?

Is it possible to have a regular post each month with the time and location of meetings etc. I have only been a forum member since the beginning of June and I see 85 people have joined since myself. I'm sure there are many others who would like to join in.

I also have a couple of places in Surrey that would be good for daytime weekday meets - all day breakfast types etc, if anyone would be interested.

Hi James

The South East Region moved to the Bolney Stage earlier this year and have between 15 to 30 members turn up each month. Meetings are always the second wednesday of each month. The RO (Derek Flanagan) does a little round up of dates and events sometime after 8.00pm but people are always there from 7ish.

This months meeting was last night but I didn't make it so not sure if there is much new stuff going on.
A couple of events that the region are looking at are:
The Capel Classic in August (http://www.capelcarshow.com/html/home.htm). Porsche are the featured marque.
An outing/tour at The Hogsback Brewery at the end of September. I'm supposed to be organising this but have only booked the brewery so far. Must find a good pub for lunch in advance.

Looking in Groupe South section, it is a bit cinfusing that there are two starting with South East - I took it they were the same. SE Region & SELNK. As it happens I could probably attend either or maybe both.

I also couldn't find this link anywhere provoded by Graham http://www.tipec.net/region_southeast.php

but all is clear now.

I wll try and ring Steve tomoroow to sort out Tipec membership if I get up ealy enough.... lol
