Anyone know if this is still for sale ? Tried to phone a few times today but they were engaged each time and not sure how often they update the web site. Also wondering if there is any other respected dealers a bit further up North that would be worth having a look at ?

Its quite a distance to travell for me but suppose the plus side is the drive home :-) I would prefer to buy a known car or one from a well respected place like JMG so it is very tempting. There is a black turbo cab for sale closer to me that looks great in the pics but want really wanting a cab and dont know anything about the dealer

This one

The blue S2 is very very nice but white cars are very in at the moment aswell especially with turbo written on the back  Seriously as I said a while back Ewan Jon will look after you and I think he's test driven that S2 for too long it'll be a cracking car. Be warned Buchanan Motors has had a lot of bad feedback on this site recently http://forums.tipec.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1716&p=17624&hilit=buchanan#p17624 http://forums.tipec.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2709&p=23594&hilit=buchanan#p23594

Oh off topic but Hi Gordon hows the move going?

I live near Southampton so if you do fly down, I'd be happy to meet you and take you down to Jon's to collect your car - it's a nice drive and I get to stretch the legs on my '44 - LMK

Thanks for advice and offer of lift :-) think I will be giving Buchanan motors a miss as well. Phoned jmg today and really impressed with the honest and frank description but even more impressed that all the minor issues would be made good in the price. Unfort the car has done a few more miles than I would want, so passing on this one. Jmg have a few more 944 coming in so will keep eye on the website think it's def worthwhile travelling the distance to get the service

Don't be put off too much by high mileage the car is 18 years old after all. Unless you're going to put a lot on it and even then I know of some cars going past the 250k mark and still going strong, mines on 166k miles now with a 'spirited' drive each week
