hi was scanning on ebay when i noticed

seems quite a high mileage car just wondered who had the highest mileage car on here mine as only covered a mere 110k so just run in

IMO, it's irrelevant. The cars have come to an age now where other factors bear more influence much more than the mileage does. Signs of recent maintenance and work etc. and just the general condition of the car count for much more IMO on a 944 than some numbers on the clock.

Agreed mileage is irrelevant with these cars. Regular use & money spent more important by far. But this car is for sale without MOT. Why? It will likely cost far more than it's worth to fix. I'd want to see the fail list before placing a bid!

This may sounds stupid, but my gut feel is that is a car worth buying. Looks well maintained (bodywise) and belts changed is a good thing.
Wheels look in good order. Looks well looked after to me.
I'd actually buy that if I wasn't mid through my 928 project.
I miss my 944's.

Look wicked with a nice black leather interior?

It's worth breaking for that money! Engine and wheels will get back almost all of the asking price.

Mine has 144K on it now.
The E Bay car looks superficially OK but no pics of the lower sill areas. And no tax or MOT, I'd suspect it needs sills or body for a ticket.
Breaking it would be a shame as these cars need preserving not breaking.

That's very cheap, must be worth a look.
It's still 15K behind my mileage and I certainly wouldn't let that go cheap just because of that.

When I was looking for mine I looked at one that had 320,000 miles on it. It started first time and ran OK, but everything inside was absolutely knackered!

I also learned that these cars always photograph well. I looked at several that looked fine on ebay but were not fine in the flesh.

Another reason not to buy on mileage is the fact that these cars were around when clocking was rife. Unless the service history backs up the mileage, I wouldn't buy a car based in low mileage only.
