great looking car
bet you can't wait :bounce:
shame you are getting it when the shite weather is here, but hopefully like me, will learn over the coming months what the car can do, and then in a few months the better road conditions will be here 8)

Well the only thing now that would stop the sale is if, when they do the 111 check, there is something serious wrong with the car. I don't think this will be the case but I guess one never knows.

Soon as I have the car.... well..... I may just go for a bit of a hoon! :D

Hi there

Sure - I'm itching to get my hands on the car. Totally. You're right - this is a good time to learn what NOT to do in the carp weather and there is no doubt in my head that there are going to be one or two slippery experiences (NO! not THAT kind of experience!) with the beast. It's a good thing - will stop me from just getting in and putting the right foot down hard.

Calm blue ocean..... Calm blue ocean..... OK - is it Friday yet? :bolt:

Cheers
Chris

Lovely upgrade Chris :bounce:

Maybe I'm the odd one out but the weather? crap or not has never really stopped me from using the Turbo- any of them..
One of the major bonuses of the Turbo is it can still make most excellent progress on the roads this time of the year, true its another league in the summer months though.. :)
I look forward to seeing it out and about some time :D

Please don't let it become a garage queen :blackeye:

Going to be driving it as often as I can. We're getting rid of one of the big sheds (Audi S-Line 2.7 Turbo diesel) and that's hopefully going to force me to use the Porsche more often. Can't wait.

DETERMINED not to! She's going to be driven and, if she gets dirty - so be it. I'll clean it as often as I can but there is no way I'm going to go back to being a polisher - please quote this promise if ever it looks like I'm going that way again!! :D

Cheers - looking forward to your thoughts when you do see the car - value your opinion.

Chris

HA HA - I like it! Nice one, Clive!

OK OK - I have to say that the drive in Mike's car and after having a look at Sean's and yours, really was probably the start of the "itch" to get the 928 out of my garage and replace it with a 911. The "Turbo" aspect came after I drove a really awful C4S and didn't like it at all, then saw the Turbo and the price one can buy 'em for these days and thought... "why not!?"

So thanks, guys - YOU are the cause of all my problems! heh heh :D

We aim to please.... must be one of the most expensive club nights in history. Turn up in the 28 with the aim of re fettling and then leave thinking about a 911 and 1 week later bought a 911 TT !!!

Now thats what I call a re kindling of interest.

Update:

Car being serviced as we speak. New tyres being put on the rear. I think they're P Zero 295 30/18 or something. "Squeaky" belt noise heard by Cindy when we test drove the car - they are replacing the drive belt. Well done Cindy!

Looks as though the car will be ready for me on Friday. Here's praying!

Cheers
Chris

Good tyres, although the lack of rim protector cost me heavy :(

Well done Cindy and the dealer, they're only £70 - I say only as I think thats a fair cost fitted at an OPC

Good luck with the countdown Chris :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
