Can anyone recommend somewhere in Edinburgh to take the S2 for an MOT? Somewhere I can trust to do any repairs if needed. I don't think Brian Miller does them or I would go to him. I would go out to Motortune in Shotts but it is a bit of a trek.

I would phone Brian and ask if I were you. If he doesn’t do MOTs then he will be happy to recommend someone who does.

Mike, I use a very good wee garage for all my MOTs, JAroc motor services in Bonnybridge. The guy is very thorough with you car as I would rather know when something is not right rather than get a 5 minute look over and a pass! I also get them for £35 as well!!!

Brian recommended Westside Motors in Lanark RD, which is just over the road from his garage. Little pricey at £55, but good to have somewhere were help is close at hand if needed.

The good news though, is the car flew through its mot with no advisories Not bad for an old bird of almost 20 years. Just going now to treat her to a good spin.

There’s a place here in Glasgow that does MOTs for £25 … my wife took her Mini there, but I wouldn’t trust them with the 944.
