I have just bought a 89, 944 S2 cabriolet and pick it up tomorrow !
Very excited! First porsche and realizing a lifelong dream woo hoo !!
I'm looking forward to hooking up with some like minded people.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

I picked up my new porsche (well 2nd hand anyway) and got it home in safely.
This is the first time I've really driven a porsche and first impressions were good. Great pull from 70 - 90
The car seems to be in a good mechanical condition but there are some dings and scratches to sort out.
I knew this when I bought it so it wasn't a surprise, it just makes you want to get it fixed asap !

I must be doomed because since I've had it the weather has been crap so roofless driving has been non existent!

I am aiming to get into the whole scene as soon as time allows ! I gotta figure out how to get pictures on too !

Very nice. The country village scene sets it off nicely. Have the neighbours started twitching their curtains to see what you're doing with such a 'flash' car.

I'm looking to find a porsche specialist in my area who is reccommended as opposed to dont touch with a barge pole! so I know who to call when things go belly up !
I have found a few problems I think with the car (to be expected)
Firstly the oil pressure stays between 4 and 5 even on a long journey, I'm not sure if this is a problem but the books say it should be between 2-3.
Secondly the electric hood it not operating along with the central locking and alarm. A good car electrician should hopefully be able to sort this out or would it be better to just take it to someone to have a whole new alarm system put on which would include the central locking?
I would like someone who has a whole lot more knowlage than me to have a look at the car to make sure its safe! and try to avoid any major future headaches by attending to problems now. Any ideas would be greatfully received.
