So guys, try turtle wax nano wax for that extra special shine. I will some day, I've been meaning to polish it since '93

Crikey where do i start with fave products!lol

My collection currently includes:-

Autoglym (AG) Super Resin Polish - love it with out going to machine gives good results

AG Glass polish - again crystal clear glass by hand

AG Vynal and Bumper Car - good for interior - not so good externally as tends to go milky white

AG Bumper car - very good for external black plastic and v.effective on 944 rear spoilers

AG Ultra Deep Shine - only really use this on cars that i detail either for sale or bad swirling as i don't machine atm as it has a high silicon content for 'filling' the swirls

AG Extra Gloss Protection - works well with SRP/UDS but is a pain to apply and smells like petrol

AG Tar remover - does what it says on the tin!

Moving on to Meguiars.....

Megs All Purpose Cleaner (APC) - really love this will remove just about any thing except the paint and exsisting protection (and at 18 quid for nearly 4 litres and a dilution of 10:1 will last forever!)

Megs Last Touch - serves 2 purpouses, lubricant for claying and drying aid - i use waffle weave towels for drying rather than chamios as it absorbs the water rather than spread it about and poss mark/swirl paint, that said drying takes place after 2 washes/rinses

Megs Clay - i use it as its the safest there is, but am looking to aquire some sonus green which is as safe but removes more contaminats fro the paint (what makes the paint feel rough!)

Megs Cleaner wax - undecided about this is fine if you want to do a combined polish/wax stage is great but that isn't best practice so im using it up on my daily drive and won't be replacing it

Megs Tyre Dress - messy! will be replaced. lasts ok tho.

Next up is Poorboys...

Super Swirl Remover 2.5 - increadably hard work by hand and if doing by hand i only do a few inches square at a time (and on a porsche would take forever!lol) so am saving now for machining when i start

EX sealant - brilliant stuff, used after polishing it seals the surface of the paint

Then there is Chemical Guys

Wheel Guard - brilliant for sealing alloys and prevent brake dust from sticking to your alloys, works really well and it lasts for ages

Waxes

Natty's Blue Paste wax
Natty's Red Paste wax

Both made by Poorboy's and very good at what they do and give a nice gloss finish to a hard days work and last well

Dodo Juice - Rainforest Rub

Realitvly new to the market and gives an almost wet finish to the paintwork and gives more expensive high end waxes a run for there money

Think that covers it, there is still a few things i would like to add to the collection, a few more waxes, from Dodo, Swissvax and Zymol, a pre-wax cleanser (or 2!lol) and tools as well as stuff to start machine paint correction.

2, A "casual" visit for a cuppa to Gordon lollll

I've recently discovered that old wax is impressive.

Tried a bit of old dried up Turtle wax liquid before I threw it out and it was great. One could pop it into the zymol tub.

Also a two decade old can of spray turtle wax gave the same effect but more as the Halfords discontinued Hot Wax pricey product. You just need to carry a cloth to get rid of some more residue you spot when coming back from shopping.

Mind you, these things might only work if you have classy metallic shades of platinum for your cars.

Whatever I use though I find girls always instinctively look at the driver rather than the car with that admiring look that is so familiar.

I love Meguiars clay followed by Meguiars polish treatments 1,2 and 3.It takes me near on a day to clean my car this way but the finish is superb

Zaino Z7 for shampoo or Megs NXT

Menzerna for machine polishing

Zaino Z2 for the shine

Zaino Z8 for the detail spray

Chemical Guys degreaser for the nasty bits (brilliant on carpets to)

303 Aerospace for the rubber bits and dash

AG metal polish

Bilberry for cleaning the wheels

Autobalm for the wheels themselves (outer) Smartwax on the inner

Turtle Wax Gel for the black bits on the wheels

Plus tons of stuff for the once in lifetime need!
