PCM2 GPS signal not working

Post by Kushi »

I've just bought a 996 TT and the owner before me had changed the standard PCM2 for an aftermarket satnav - i've had the old one fitted back in and everything works fine except the gps signal is frozen. I've tried a couple of Car electronics shops and they've suggested I take it to porsche? has anybody else had this problem? and is there a quick fix? the system runs with the optic sound connection the to bose amp and autochanger.

have you tried pressing 148 altogether for a sysem reset.., it may be that the gps aerial has come unplugged under the n/s scuttle panel.. these are also common for going faulty...

I've found the problem - the antenna was cut at the end. i've replaced this now but still nothing, i'll try the reset code tonight.
