South Central Trip to Meguiars - Saturday 28th March

Post by geoff.b.cox »

Saturday 28th March 9.30am for 10.00am start

South Central are having another trip to Meguiar’s in Daventry for a morning demonstration on car “detailing” presentation, this is done mainly indoors so no need to worry about the weather. When we did this last year it proved to be a great morning out and we all came away with some bargains.

Meet at around 9.30am at Meguiars, 3 Lamport Court, Heartlands, Daventry, NN11 8UF.

We may be joined by 911 & PW magazine, so make sure you put your best TIPEC shirt on.

Once we have finished at Meguiars we will head off for a pub lunch.

All are welcome

Another great day out, which started particularly well when Sean arrived with bacon and sausage butties for us all.

Thanks again to the guys at Meguiars who put on a good display. I'm looking forward to using all my purchases tomorrow.

Another very impressive visit to their gaff. Thanks for the savory pastry Sean. Yuuummmmm!!
I spent 55 quid on beauty products for my cars  , so I just had to pop off to Boots to by some creams and lotions for me! :glasses10: Its only right... redressing the balance and all that.

Excellent morning out, especially as took all of 4 minutes to get there... 911 & RR now fettled, polished and looking shiny thanks to £40 worth of Meguiars lotions & potions. For a person who considers themself an anorak about keeping cars clean, I was surprised at how much I didn't know! Thanks for organising it, much appreciated, and the bacon and cheese pastry certainly set me up for the morning. Well done all.

As always a very professional presentation by Steve and his team.
Now I have no excuses and have to get the polisher out and do the rest of the car. Think I will resist the temptation of putting the clay in the microwave to make it supple, LOL! (Nice one Lyndsay)
Excellant morning.

I've been to a couple of these over the last few years and there is always something that you pick up. This time it was a tool to make sanding down stone chips a bit easier.

I'm sure a few more will be organised towards the back end of the year and early 2010. East Midlands, Central and South Central have all been in the last year.

The guys at Meguiars are really freindly, plenty of hot drinks and nice biccies and the products aren't bad either. If you get chance make the effort to go along the sessions are definately worth it.
