My daughter goes in the back in her child seat leaving the front seat free for the missus.
I fitted 3 point static belts (Britax) as the later retractable ones don't fit pre 85 cars.

Tell your missus if she really loves you that she should squeeze in the back until you can put the nipper in there

Daz. How olds your daughter?

Recaro tell me that there Monza seat fits for 9 mths to 4 years. Hopeing the Jane carry cot will do it until then. If anyone can confirm that the recaro Monza does fit it would help as no one stocks them anywhere near. Either that or a cheap foam one from ebay that I can hack to fit!

Thanks Adam for the thought! It's good really. Getting more hopeful for the car by the day! :D

She's 4 now mate.
Had her in the front till she was about 12 months old, then in the back in a recaro seat.
Helps to put a small cushion under the child seat in the back to make it fit better.
I think porsche make a seat with a cushion for underneath too.

Makes sence Daz. Looking for a bean bag to fill the bucket so the carrycot won't slide around. If you got a Recaro monza & it fits the back ok then thats what I need next. :)

Most will fit, but the belt will be tight to get around.
The front seat will need to be as far forward as poss when they get a bit older,
or they will have there legs either side of the front seat!
