Hi all, I've been a member on here for a while, since I bought this S2 last year but haven't had a lot of time to play with it. I've now got my teeth into the restoration of this 147K mile slightly tired example. I used it for a few months, really enjoying the driving experience but she hasn't proved to be not the most reliable beast, so I took her off the road last winter to get a few jobs done. Things have (as so often happens) escalated some what...
I've had the sills replaced on both sides, including repair sections fitted to both front and rear wings. I'm now in the process of stripping it in preparation of a respray in a few weeks. Hopefully, by the spring, I'll have her back on the road. Well, that's the plan...
I've given her a full service, including all the belts etc, had the wheels refurbished, replaced various bits of broken trim (much more to fix yet!), sorted the inevitable faulty clock display and have today replaced the leather gear lever gaiter. A job I was not looking forward to, but turned out not to be as bad as I had expected!

As bought condition.

Quite a few previous "kick fix" repairs to sort!

Hopefully all the structural work is now complete.

Both rear wings required repair.

Currently looking a little sorry for her self.
