I'm thinking of a long weekend to Stuttgart to have look at the transaxle display in particular, possibly include a stop off at the ring or maybe hit the black forest.

As its a short trip will be hooning it down there and back again.

Just testing water to see if anyone's up for a spirited drive there and back ?

Probably go late June before holiday season kicks in....

I would be keen, i have always wanted to do something like that.
I will need to get a clean bill of health on the 944 from JMG garage though.
Keep me posted.

I'd like to go but June is a bit early for me especially given the Tipec LeMan Classic trip in July.... Maybe later in the year, September perhaps?

If I can get my car on the road in the next couple of weeks and then work on the cosmetic stuff over the summer months plus iron out any niggles that appear I'm planning on this trip around October time.

Think this would miss the transaxle display at the museum though so should really do it earlier. September might be good for me too blackadder30

I'm in the same position as you Brian - mechanically the car should be up and out by the end of June and I'll sort the cosmetics/ respray over the summer when its needed less..... The Transaxle Exhibition is on until the 16th of October so there's time yet :)

Not a huge response, but some interested people... I can postpone, but Im running the alpinestrasse in late september, so fitting in two trips so close may be difficult. I could go to the museum then, but i'll be in an M3 & really fancied taking the 944, plus im itching to get on european roads and open her up

I guess we should watch this space and see how this post develops :bounce:

There is so much on this summer it's difficult deciding what to take part in.... I'll see who could be interested on 968uk and 924oc as well
