It's not price that's the problem but availability. I missed out on a couple over the last 6 months for around the £100 mark (good ones come up for the same price as bad ones), but I was still deciding what to do so didn't go for these. A repaired one came up here but £250 plus delivery, which seemed a bit steep, if I can get my own repaired for not much more. If that wing comes down in price and I see some pics of it I might go for it, otherwise I'm going to get some more repair estimates.

You can get repair pieces for the bottoms now, £80

Bar Daytona I do know of somewhere who can effective repair a corner but he would want close to £400 a side considering he wanted almost double that when my 944 rear quarter became friends with a lampost (there was rust also to deal with alongside the repair which then split the metal/arch on the accident ; the intial repair price was far less for both sides).

However, his work is truly flawless and seems not to bubble up etc. after a repaint.

That kind of puts me back where I started. Remember my wing needs 2 repairs and the garage was able to get a new one for less than £800. I think at their prices it was likely to be over £600 to repair so best option was to get a good secondhand one, but a new one was still an option. That's what got me thinking about a pattern part, since secondhand wings are not that easy to find.
