Hi all. Any recommendations regarding bodywork or paint shops in or around Warwickshire?
My 944s2 cab is looking a little tired after living outside for three years and the small patches that were a little tatty have deteriorated further. Namely the corner of sill/arches and at the rear end if the sill.
I've built her a new home to keep her dry, but now need to get the work done, which may end up with a full paint.
I'd appreciate any recommendations or places to avoid.
Thanks
Barry

Not trying to scaremonger but, be afraid of "small patches that where a little tatty", especially in sill/arch corners...mine caught up very quickly from small, to, MASSIVE currently at the surgeons..!

That's exactly my worry. I'm thinking at least new metal at the wing bases and new outer sills. What we find under the outer sills??? I'll most likely have a complete paint job at the same time. I know it's going to cost a fair few £'s though :(
Trying to find recommendations of who to go to is difficult.

If you're prepared to travel a little bit, I can recommend Daytona Coachworx in Stevenage. They're very familiar with 944s (and 944 cabs) check out their facebook page to get some idea.

Within Warwickshire this man is superb:

http://greghowell.co.uk/

I have seen many happy customers of his. Whilst he can do a show finish he can also do a finish to match the car :).

He however is not the cheapest; but not that much more than other painters:). Furthermore he is an ex-VW/Porsche bodyshop man and is very well respected within the VW community.

I'm happy to say via PM for what I was quoted on my car :). I may possibly be taking my sister's Mondeo there to have the rear bumper redone.

I took my cab to http://www.pro-9.co.uk last year for a service. They also did some welding and painting and I was quite happy with the results. Not too far from you. They have an excellent reputation on here.

Cheers,
Bryan
