That's what i'm hoping as I have pretty much managed to contain all the parts in the headlight pod and frame, don't want to pull it all out again for the mot.

As I said earlier I've fitted a couple of kits to bikes, but have also had problems with 'burning' of the reflectors. I don't think it's actually thermal burning, but the high levels of UV these things make was damaging the vapour deposited coating. However, these reflectors are from modern bikes so the technology is going to be different to that of the 80's... Well, I guess anyway, so hopefully the older plating will stand up to the rigours of HID ...

only thing I had to do for the HIDS to work properly on my 968, was to update the fuses in the fuse board from 7amp, to 10 amp. other than that, a straightforward job... got mine from here... www. hids4u. co.uk. They had a 'specific' kit for the car.

Very nice. Which kit did you go for? what temperature bulbs? Do you have any photos showing how you mounted the ballasts? Is the improvement in lighting worth the cost? Thanks.

nm. I've since researched and found HID converted housings are illegal in NZ :(
