hi people,

wandering around VWNW last weekend has convinced me i need some fuchs or at least a seet of splits with a little more dish. I was hoping fusch replicas in 16" would go on but i hear the offset is a problem on cars with ABS shame as i think they would look amazing:



i split and re-furbed these for my old corrado VR6:

but now i have a mortgage and never endng stuff to buy for the damn house a £1250 set of wheels isn't really an option!!

I've seen a nice set of compomotive CXN 3 piece for £550:

problem is they are 16x 8.5 and 9.5 which i presume is way too wide, it's such a sweet car to drive i don't want to ruin the handleing.

what offsets should i be looking for and what widths can use?

any suggestions on where to look?

You want an offset somewhere between 50 and 65 for a later car with ABS. Fuchs were only available with an offset around 20 and so they will stick out on your car by 30mm because you can't fit anti spacers

8.5 and 9.5 will fit ( I have 8.5 and 9's on my trackwheels) but you will need tyres sized around 245 and 265 respectively
