Following the success of the 2007 WOTY (Weekend of the Year) , this event is the must do social event of the year for TIPEC members in the Central and East Midlands Regions (or any other region - all are welcome). It is an opportunity for you and your partner to enjoy a weekend away from the strife of work, doing what we all enjoy. Drive your Porsche, meet like minded people, eat drink and be merry, join others on a scenic drive in the country, visit a very special Independent Porsche Dealer or just do your own thing - it's up to you. The only formal arrangements are the evening meals.

This year's event will be at Weetwood Hall http://www.weetwood.co.uk

This year's event commences on Friday 3rd October and concludes on Sunday 5th October You can book into the hotel after 1400 hours on the Friday Booking out time on the Sunday is 1100 hours .The price is £250:00, which is VAT inclusive at the current rate. The price includes a double or twin room for you and your partner. Meals included are dinner on the Friday and Saturday in a private dining room and breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday. Please note that drinks are not included with the dinner.

Just telephone 0113 230 6000 and reserve your place as a TIPEC member quoting the TIPEC WOTY 2008 After your booking is made a £125 non refundable deposit will be charged to your card at the end of July. When you have made your booking please e-mail Paul and Brian. It is necessary for us to manage the bookings as the private dining room has a set capacity and that will be the capacity of the event There is a cut off date for bookings and that will be 18th July 2008 - after that you may well miss out!

In addition to that already mentioned you and your partner get complimentary parking at the hotel, complimentary use of the internet and e-mail stations and complimentary access to the David Lloyd Leisure Club. Preferential rates at the Sand Moor Golf Club (Friday £30:00 and Sunday £40:00 after 1200 hours). The club is 4 miles from Weetwood Hall. Preferential rates at the Cookridge Golf Club (Friday £14:00 and Saturday or Sunday £18:00 after 1200 hours). The club is 2 miles from Weetwood Hall.

There will be a planned Saturday drive through the Yorkshire Dales if you want to join and - there will be a very special and exclusive Sunday visit to Specialist Cars of Malton.

See you there - or in other words - Be there or be square

Paul and Brian :D

By all means drop it on an email to me and we'll compare it to the one we're putting together - we'll decide which one nearer time :D

I am going

I have to really as I organised this event.

Numbers booked so far is unclear; not everyone who has booked has notified me and not all members use the forum. Therefore, I cannot check.

Many people say they are going but the proof of the pudding will be in the eating

Members are still booking and I will be checking with hotel at the end of August.

Hi John

Hopefully you can read the content of the file attachment that gives details of what is planned for the weekend. Essentially we will meet in the hotel bar from 7pm on the friday and kick off the weekend with a drink followed by dinner.
Nearer time I will post on the forum to see whether there would be any interest in meeting and driving up together but with people coming from various places that might not work.

If you have any queries that are not covered please don't hesitate to send me or Brian (MYMerak) a PM or email

Regards

Paul
