Picked up my new daily driver today, so the 944 can once more retire to a more sedate lifestyle and I don't have the pressure of starting and finishing any job on the same day.

The outstanding fixit job of fully re-waxoiling can now be completed. I got as far as the B pillars and back end of the sills. Now I am going to pull up the carpets covering the sills in the cabin and give it a thorough clean/waxoil from there...plus inside the doors and anywhere else I can fit the spray lance.

I've just bought new engine mounts, rear drop links, rear ARB mounts (powerflex), new brake flexible lines front and rear plus hope to have a set of front droplinks/ARB powerflex and thicker ARb on the front thanks to Terry on this list.

Next on the hit list is a change of valve lifters just purchased (I have one noisy one although this has been much better since I have been using the car more often). replacement belts and rollers....bought the bits, not had time to fit. Replace the alternator with a good unit I have in stock...although I've bought a new regulator / brushes unit that I'll fit to it first.

I've bought a replacement relay and intend to finally sort out the non working HRW once and for all...oh and finally solve thw leak into the rear deck by replacing the rear hatch pin seals.... those a the only seals not replaced in the back of the car...hopefully that is the source of the water ingress.

I also new set of vacuum hoses on the way plus I'm considering a set of the silicone water hoses as my car still has the original rubber. Finally its a four wheel alignment session and that should see Novembers maintenance completed.

One thing I have noticed recently is that there is a little more slack in the gear change mechanism, so I'm considering fitting one of JMG's kits when I replace the clutch after Christmas. ooh and I have a rattle from somewhere inside the passenger door and also one from the front of the sunroof ...and...and ..so the never ending list goes on....

Not bad for a car that only covers 4k miles per year!

Regards

Jon

It's a magic list....everytime I complete a task, it puts another one on in it's place!

Out of interest, was the full vacuum pipe set expensive? Did you have to get it from OPC?
