It is good to see that you had the belts done :).

It certainly shines quite nicely eh?

Those seats are rarer than you think. Not only are they in great condition for cloth seats (but that interior looks great overall) and are completely cloth, they also have the rare 8 way electric adjustment option complete with electric lumbar and seat heaters :) (assuming that both seats have them, and not just the passenger seat :)).

Not sure if it has the heated seats option but yes both seats have the 3 electric movement dials all fully working which I was pretty impressed with. The drivers side seat is the problem, the cloth has worn right through exposing the underneath.

Also the brake pad warning light came on last night which is strange as its had new discs and pads all round, maybe a loose sensor?

Such a shame that driver's seat is as it is! Rest of the interior looks immaculate.

It looks to have the heater seat option if that is a rotary adjustment on the seat adjustment pad. The switch for the heater is around the rotary dial itself. Whether the heaters work or not now is another matter :).

Do you mean the rectangular part between the 2 circular direction pads, if so it's blanked out on mine. Is this where the heater option would have been fitted if added originally.

Finally refurbed the alloys looks a lot tidier now. Just the retrim to sort, debating whether to have the front and rear seats done or just the fronts for now. Also at £55/m the original Porsche material is going to work out around twice the cost of an alternative non-Porsche fabric. Had quotes of £250-£350 labour for the retrim (excluding material costs)

Looks good, maybe needs some spacers on the rear to fill out the arches a bit more

Small update, had the front seats re-upholstered. Managed to get hold of the original porsche pinstripe beige fabric from a supplier in Germany so was able to have the damaged part replaced and not have to fork out for a full retrim (which would have been costly as the material was £60/metre). I've done about 1,000 miles in it so far and it seems to be getting better and better, surprisingly refined and well balanced car!

I paid £200 in labour which I didn't think was too bad. A full retrim with porsche material you're looking at at least £500 all in for 2 front seats.

Wow, those seats look amazing. Who did them for you?

Cheers,
Bryan

Found someone only 3 miles away from me but he mainly does furniture upholstery. I had to remove the seats for him and it took around 3 weeks to do but pretty happy with the results. It was just the worn panels that were replaced. Bob Greenham 01509814537.

Theres a few other people that were recommended to me also local… Vaughan Green Upholstery and Hubbard Upholstery but quoted slightly more expensive

That looks a whole load better than my free 944. Mine was in a bit of a state when it was abandoned though so threw a massive array of faults at me not helped by it being an 83 car so extra wear of age ontop of everything else.

I'm quite jealous that yours looks so good and mine currently sits off the road yet again awaiting more fixing!
