Finally had a chance to lift the car up and look at the powersteering leak. The join from the cooler section to another pipe was leaking but I realised it was not that bad. Investigated the cooler and one of bends had split! Obviously need to be back on the road Monday morning so a repair is setting right now with liquid metal!

So I need to add this to list, options are replace with new? A good second hand one (any one got one!?) or a by pass it but I assume its cooling for a reason. Girl says I can't just remove the power steering as she is weak!

Also need to replace an O2 sensor on the x type for her so a busy Sunday! Planning to start front shock replacement Thursday night so any advice appreciated.

As always it is great to see so many of these cars being kept on the road and used!

Also named my 924 "Yin Yang" because it has two letter Y's in the number plate, and definitely has a good, clean, shiny side, and a rough, beaten up, dirty side.

Worked out my MPG on my 944 2.5 lux and was very happy with a 26.7 MPG return which involved country driving with a bit of loud pedal on the twists around here.

I fitted replacement windscreen surrounds and clips, as well as a Porsche badge glovebox lock (with 2 keys!)

Replaced o-rings on my gearbox cooler. Leak free at last, thought my replacement cooler was leaking but turned out to be lower o-ring. £1.66 each from OPC! :D

Brimmed the 944 with V-Power. For £110 it did just shy of 500 miles.

Now I have finished exhausting my energy on the Pissat I decided to fix a few of the 944 issues. I say a few, I mean two! Both door solenoid operating rods required replacement. Suffice to say the doors are now silent and rattle free with both doors opening on the blipper!

How many litres did you need? I normally fill up at the light which is about 70litres and get just over 400 miles. 500 seems a lot!!

My seal I replaced was only in 2 or 3 years but it overseen a cooler getting snapped, a replacement being fitted, then a replacement replacement fitted! I reckon the strain of a cooler snapping then all the other moving about knackered it which was ok cos I thought that cooler number 3 was also a gonner!!

All well now. I would try another seal plus also check the cooler end is in as flush as possible and your little bracket is not bent somewhat. I would also assume it's the lower seal leaking next to the cooler clamp and not the high up one at the bumper end?

I took the S2 for an MOT on Tuesday morning. The MOT tester told me off because I'd only done 658 miles since the last one

Yesterday I had a bit more of a job changing the OSF, rusted up bolt. Bought a new bolt today and with a grinder, hammer and selection of punches I managed to get the bugger free!

Now fitted with a nice new ball joint ill book a 4 wheel alignment for the weekend.

Still got an idle issue but Im booked in at JMG next month! Ill live with it for now

My steering wheels in wit the cobbler having a few inchs of stitching then ill be on the car shortly!
