Hi - New member from Oxford....

Hi,

I have recently joined the club again after an absence of several years of club membership and Porsche ownership.

I have been fortunate to own a few porsches in the past, my favourite being a Red, 1991, LHD, 964 C4.... (924, 930 with replacement 3.2 NA Engine, 964 C2, 944, 964C4).

Unfortunately they were sold to fund various house projects and to pay off the mortgage...

I am currently on the lookout for a 996, C4, any colour, black leather, manual... Mileage not too important as long as most of the important jobs have been done if required (e.g. Clutch, RMS, IMS, A/C Rads, etc), GT3 kit would be a bonus...

My Plan is to come to the Thames Valley meets whenever possible as well as try a few track days... Something I never got round to doing in my other cars...

I am also an automotive engineer with over 20 years development experience in vehicle electronics (mainly BMWs) so will hopefully be able to contribute to the technical content of the site as well..

And i ended up with......

1998, Carrera 2, Zenith Blue, Grey Leather, Manual, 48K miles, GT3 Kit - A/C done....

So much for Black leather, C4, Clutch, RMS, IMS..... :banghead:

It's got an aero kit though.

C2 much better than C4 IMO

I wouldn't worry unduly regarding anything else. If you are there is an IMS fix you can do at various independents to prevent this failing.
