A friend has a 997 TT 4wd

The rev counter has had condensation behind it which has left it water marked.

Is there a guide on how to remove the cluster/glass etc so it can be cleaned other than sending a trained hamster with a microfibre cloth up into the dash board?

He`s had some serious classic Porkers for years but never joined the club (hes not a club type) so I hope you dont mind me asking on his behalf.

the answer is either easy or a pig dependent on how lucky you are. The rev counter will just pull out with some leverage. Sometimes it is easier to remove the clock or another gauge to the right of the rev and push from behind.

Here is the BUT - i some cases the counter will come out past the steering wheel and in others not. its a matter of millimetres and there is now reason why some do and some dont. If it does not come out then its a steering wheel off job and with air bags be VERY careful

As to getting behind the glass, i dont know ...it may be a sealed unit?
