Hi, Anyone got a recommendation for replacing the rear window on a 996 cabrio. Mine's a 2001 and has faded with age. I also wondered if you could replace the existing plastic screen with the later facelift glass rear screen. Any ideas? George |

I would give Southbound a call http://www.southboundtrimmers.com/ they will know if it's possible or not. They are not the cheapest but are very very good. If it can be done you will be able to shop around. |

Before you go down the replace the screen, have you tried cleaning it with special polish? I use the BMW product, its like a toothpaste that you rub on screen and polish off. Gets rid of fine scratches and hazeness build up.Can get it from any BMW dealer , ask for Z3 rear screen cleaner . I believe another product called 'hindsight' is very good but not tried myself (yet!) |
