Looking for some new tyres for my 996.2 GT3 Wheels, but can only get Michelins in a PS4 Front, PS2 Rear setup due to availability etc.

Is there any potential hazard/danger/mismatch with this set up..? Both are Y rated; Fronts 95, Rears 98..

Don't imagine there would be an issue, what car are you fitting the wheels on?

I'm in a similar situation with a 996 C4S and needing 225/295 combination. I'm told that PS4S for 18" rims will be available in August in the larger rear size particularly. I wouldn't mix types between front and rear....but what do I know?

Local OPC would have me driving around in P-Zeros (I think they are horrible in cold weather - which is most of the year now!)

This may be of help...
I had the same question - so spoke to Classic Line my insurer.

They confirmed that tyres that did not have matching N rating between front/rear would not have any effect on the insurance.

Personally, I’d wait until the matching set become available. There probably isn’t that much difference, but if you went ahead now and noticed any handling imbalance in the future, there would always be that question at the back of your mind.
