At some point in the future, I may decided to sell my 944S2 Cab in favour of something more modern. I'm talking many months or even a year from now. Wife says that we all (son is 2 and daughter is 6) need to be able to get in it, so Cayman and Boxster obviously ruled out. Air cooled 911 is too expensive, as is my first choice of a 928 (although that's hardly modern) so considering a 996. As I've never really thought about this before, I haven't been following how prices have varied over time. Have they levelled out or are they still dropping at the standard 20% each year?
I'd be looking at a manual coupe i.e. definitely not a cab and definitely not an automatic. Also likely to be rwd rather than 4wd. Would also prefer the 3.6 over the 3.4. Everything else is what most other people want - good spec, history, condition, low (but not too low) miles etc. What should I be looking to pay? Nobody can predict accurately how prices will change, hence my question about how they have changed up to now. If they're starting to rise, it may make me move more quickly.
Cheers, Bryan
