I use yellow ebc's on my 997 2s & just had new std discs all round as well. Stopping has drastically improved.

If you want the best pads around for track use Performance Friction (aka PFC) are the answer. Design 911 stock them and seem to offer the best prices over here, but have a look at prices across the pond as it could be cheaper to import them (they're an American company). When buying them for my 944 D911 worked out about the same pricing as importing, but I think the GT3 pads will be quite a bit more expensive due to their size so it's best to shop around...

Just watch the dust though as you don't want to leave it on your wheels or car! But that's the same as any high performance pad.

Personally I'd avoid anything with EBC stamped on them as they're far too inconsistent as far as quality is concerned in my own experience. Pagid RS range are also worth a look and are less heavy on the dust.

i use performance friction pads and they are the muttts nuts! i cooked ebc's in a couple of laps. At night , late braking into a roundabout from silly speeds!! i get a firework display down the sides off the car from the discs and pads. looks great but i know its the discs being eaten away!
they need to be kept warm when driving normally tho.
look to pay £150 upwards per set, but worth it!

OEM are Pagid, which is what I run. I'd say they were pretty bad for dust, but I get it's all relative?

Let us know how you get on with them, I like the OEM ones and have a spare set for the next change. I'll be looking for replacements at some point. :D
