Hi all,
Anyone know how to release the top compartment rear lid on a gen 1 cab ?
Had a 'clunk' noise when starting to lower the roof & the compartment lid failed to raise on offside only so twisting the lid & :? stopping the main roof operation. Appears to be a hinge / driving rod failure on the sub assembly that lifts the lid, but how to access it ? Have looked in my technical repair manual but can find no mention of this.
Any help appreciated as sun is shining & I've got no open top driving !

You can open it manually, if you in the drivers manual the instructions are there.

You access the mechanism behind the rear seats.

Hi Sean,
Thanks but I've tried that, but the mechanism that raises the compartment lid on offside is jammed so only one side lifts & distorts the bodywork. I'll have to look at taking out the crash hoop structure (or the rear window glass ?) so I can get through under the lid to see the hinging better.
