996 values do seem to be in a steep dive. Very nice early examples with important work done and full Porsche/indy service history (eg clutch, RMS) now seem to be asking around £18K, so presumably available for less. I assume the trade is offering around £14-15K for such cars at most.

As far as the eBay car goes the CAT D thing would put me off (want to sell it on sometime!) and the interior colour not my thing! Take your point though that these cars are getting very tempting. I envy anyone looking around just now for say a 944, 928, 996 or Boxster (or dare I say it a Cayenne) - it is a fantastic market for cash buyers.

The speedo might have done 50000 miles, but the seats look like they've done more. I bought a 1989 944 2.7 Lux with 80000 miles 'on the clock'. Fortunately it had a full history which showed the speedo being replaced at 40000 due to a fault.

That interior is just wrong, a lot of car for the money.

The coffee colour I could live with the green is completely vile..... But it could probably be recoloured for less money.
