Short shift on Boxsters, caymans, 996 and 997 are all a good improvement. Not sure about the Porsche Shop one, other members may be able to give feedback on them or their short shift kit. We have fitted a lot of the B&M ones though. |

I do notice a difference in my friends C4S, as he doesn't have a short shift. I love mine, but not sure of the make? It was fitted by JZM. |

bit late to the party on this but if the 997 GT3 shifter is the one to have - direct fit, and has metal bushes rather than the cheese (sorry, plastic) that is in the std car |

Short shift transformed the selector, especially when driving enthusiastically ![]() Be aware though that there is a downside in that the gear lever can become/feel stiff/notchy especially when cold.. I'd look at the B&M one... |

I' ve fitted both B&M and the rip off variants - nothing much between them to be honest. However, as Gary says, they can be a bit stiff when the oil is cold, and are a bit of a bugger to align perfectly, which will also contribute to accuracy / stiffness. 997GT3 bits - OPC ! |
