I thought I would tell you all what the latest turbo technology is for the K16 996tt.
I have had my Car at Nine Excellence : http://www.nineexcellence.com/ having some big power mods done. I was going to have K16 billets fitted , but to cut a long story short along with Ken at 9E we had some brand new Turbos developed which flow 39 lbs air . note K24 18g only flow 40 lbs. so I have K24/18g performance with all the spool of the K16 Turbos. They produce far more power than K16/16g's and billet Turbos.

Here are some detail of what I had done and some performance figures.
Soft intake piping fitted,
K1639 Turbos,
Performance 3 1/2" IC's,
Performance boost hoses
Tune for 1.5 bar,
60 lb injectors,
EBC
K&N,
100 Cell Miltek,
DV's,
MKB Box and TCU
PSS10's all round.

Been testing and doing plenty of laps and runs:
All done on Shell V power 99 ron US 93. No race fuels or additives used.
Brunters has a 1.5deg incline so is deemed to be a slow track as well . Looking forward to getting some Pbox times on the level.
0-300kph 26.91 seconds
0-200 mph 34.17 seconds
0-100 6.5 seconds
0-60 3 seconds
60-130 7.00 seconds.
All Pbox GPS verified

The heart of the kit is the K1639 turbos. They are brand new design made specifically for my car in association with 9E who will supply them with there performance kit.

Ken at Nine Excellence, 9E, http://www.nineexcellence.com/ is very pleased with the results and conservatively puts the power in the region of 650 bhp. With 0-200 in 34.17 that would be about right.

On the day we also had a 996 GT 2 RS ( 620ps) and we beat the 0-300 time for that by quite a bit.

i also had Bilstein PSS10's fitted all round and what a difference.
All in all a fantastic package

:bounce:

What size are the new front discs? I bought the car I sent you the link to last month, eventually bought it from a dealer in Yorkshire. It has the 380 Alcon floating discs fitted by JZM with the GT2 6 pot calipers. They're ok, I'd hate to see what the originals were like?

I'm watching your threads with interest, I might like to try some of the mods you've got done. I hope to see your car soon. :D

Since you're here, I was going to buy the Durametric like yours. Do you think this would be better?

Hi Lee,
I still have OEM discs atm . That's the next mod to have 6 pot and 350 mm fronts.
That's quite some data logger/diagnostic tool. TBH all I can say is what I have read from your link and from that it does look good. However I am in the Durametric fold ( due to the fact I already have one.lol) so can only really comment on that. I dont know why it is said that a Durametric isn't good enough to log for tuning faults. With the beta version I have all the data running at once that I require but if this new system is better, then its better. truth is I wouldn't like to say.
If it will allow Key coding and module replacement which Durametric wont do then its a bargain. I have bought a PST2 solely to enable me to do these things Durametric cant.
I suppose tech support must play a part in this as well. Owen at Durametric is so so good responding when there are problems. they have been at it a long long time. i just wonder after a few years where this new system will be when it comes to customer service. I suppose time will tell.
