Hello again, just had car serviced by OPC Exeter, which was a good experience all round & well worth the drive from Cornwall.Thinking about the bill on the drive home made me realise that my 996 has been one of the cheapest cars i've ever run.
Firstly it was abargain to buy,i guess because of all the scare stories,so i went with the best one i could find with a mileage not too high or not too low, with a full porsche & parr history, value now is much the same as when i got it 18 months ago.
Insurance is cheap much less than my daily driver.
It passed MOT with no problems(unlike my daily driver!!)
Service was reasonable, much cheaper at OPC than locally.
Mpg is reasonable at about 25mpg.Tax is low as it's a 1998 model.
So including depreciation, insurance, tax, mot & servicing it's cost me £1200ish this year, which must be a bargain(that's how i'm justifing it to the wife anyway)
Anyone else had a good experience with their 996 or have i just been lucky?Cheers.
