Post subject: | K&N 57-7000 Induction Kit? |
Has anyone got a K&N induction kit on their 996 (naturally aspirated 3.4) Spec suggests an increase of 23bhp (http://www.knfilters.com/search/product ... od=57-7000), is this ; 1. believable 2. worth £300 Seems like a good way to bolt on some power. The car already has eurocup headers and silencers but IMHO seems to have made no noticable difference but to engine note. I am a little worried that the induction kit may result in a similar way, all mouth and no trousers. Look forward to some advice. |

I like K&N ...but the accepted opinion generally is that YES they will filter better and MAYBE add a COUPLE of horsepower and usually give a much better sound... But thats it, 23 hp... I seriously doubt that....and £300 seems a little over the top....but your choice if it looks good and improves the sound then fine....then buy it, but if you are thinking 23 hp dont buy it ![]() All the best Brett ![]() |
