Question, I have to sell one of my 911's but of course i like both for different reasons and they both suit my driving as pretty much a daily driver.

911 SC 1982 targa roof is ok not great,slate grey 16" fuchs. Car is in great condition, and is 100% reliable and tight to drive sounds s uppers etc, whale tail spoiler but i have a grill to remove the spoiler if i choose, ,quite like it on though. It has a massive history folder from day one and engine and gearbox from RSR in last 20k miles

964 targa carrera 2 1990 Slate grey roof is perfect as is body and mechanics, linen turbo seats, car wants nothing doing sounds superb and drives a1. It was cat d in 2001 and had a wing and bumper.

Both cars can be used as daily transport and fun cars at weekends. The 964 is more refined quieter and feels more at home on the daily commute but its less attractive in my eyes and is a little too refined in the way it goes fast and handles, the sc is more attractive in its black fuchs monster spoiler longer bonnet and slightly sharper lines, its harder to drive fast noisier smellier but more enjoyable to drive quick in feels more involved, the 964 is a little too cuddly looking.

So need some help which would you keep, ie which is the better investment, he easier to maintain and the better car, need to advertise one of them im the next few weeks thanks in advance.

If you told me I could buy one off you, I'd buy the 911 from you. This opens up another question, what one could you sell easier? You asked which one would be the better investment, no car would be an investment. So if you need to drive every day, chooose the one you like driving most. As for easier to work on, again none of them but I think the 911 would be more fun to work on.

I would keep the 911, but I think you've hinted at that in you first post up there. If you like both cars, you're in a win win situation, advertise them both and see what one sells.

As an everyday car the 964 is better proposition .Gearbox is far better and more durable than the 915 of the SC, read in another post of yours that when cold second gear bulks so sounds like syncro hubs are on the way (normal 915 issue- i ran Sc for 10years so know them well). The suspension on 964 is better.The 3.6 of the 964 is more powerfull than the SC and has a good management system rather than the k jetronic of the SC.This coupled with PAS and ABS makes the 964 a better bet for every day driving especially around London
For me no decision based on every day drive
See from your picture host that you have had 964 and 944 before so know your way around Porsche

Iam biased, but even so the 64 is the better car.
If you find it to refined, then drive any new car, they make a 64 more like a tractor imo.
Just add sum race parts to make the 64 more edgy.

Agree , SC is still an underated car in my opinion though.

For every day I would keep the 964. The SC is a little more your classic beast, altough they are pretty strong.
