Ive got a split in my dash, bout an inch long near the vents infront of the driver.
I presume this is caused by age and the sun.
Any ideas of how to sort this minor cosmetic problem?

Ive given thought to re-trimin the dash panel, mayb leather or mayb swede?
Or buying another dash top?
I may have my dash top repaired, ive been told that a trim repair chap mayb able to make it like new?

Reckon thats your best bet, most of these trimmers are brilliant with this sort of problem, I think recovering the dash your self may not be a good idea, because if you decide to ever sell the car it will put off many potential purchasers, most of whom are looking at cars close to original :?:

This guy did a superb and very reasonably priced repair job on my seats. When I called to collect one of them he was also completely retrimming the dash of a Toyota Celica (are we allowed to say Toyota on here?) and doing a great job of it too. He's a nice guy, very skilled, but you pay Leigh prices - which were about half of the local Knutsford prices. His name is Phil - 07860182423.

Thanks for the number, i may give him a call.

I got my dash back, it looks fine a lot better than it did. You cant c the damage.
But because its had a lick ov paint it isnt the same texture (smooth ness) as it was.
Its not terrible just not the same.

Still thinkin about the swede
