Does it feel worse than any other 993 that you have drove?

Hi mate, as you know I have a cab and I live in Emsworth some of the time, although I am away at present . Are you running 18inch wheels, cos they can give you quite a harsh ride , I have sport classic 18's on my car and its a bit harsh, have bought a set of 17's but have not got round to trying them yet .

I dont drive a 993 but my 964 is not the most comfy car ive ever owned.
I reckon that a 993 is about the same.
If you have standard suspension and wheels/tyres then it will probably b uncomfy at best IMO, it is a 160+mph sports car.
My car is lowered and on 17"wheels so is bumpy, but the ride quality is fine IMO.
An old porsche is never goin to be a comfy car, if you want that get yourself a lexus.

Have a 993 cabby and with std shocks and 17" Contis the ride is good and certainly not harsh. Changed recently to sports shocks and 17" Pzeros and the ride was firm/harsh. Back to Contis and, even with the shocks, the ride is acceptable.

Fit Continental Tyres!!!!

Going straght from a MKIV Golf GTi to my 993 (on 17 inches), I felt the ride a little rough at first, especially down potholed single track roads!! I've not driven another 993 so couldn't tell you if mine is soft or hard for a 993, but when the road is smooth it's awesome, and when it's not smooth, I appreciate being able to feel every little mound through the steering wheel so I know exactly what the front tyres are touching.

There are times when I think "My god, it's a boneshaker", but that soon gets replaced by a big grin as I take it up to 5000rpm+ and the torque (mine's a pre-vario) really kicks in! If I fancy something a bit softer, I just take the GTi out instead!
