Do you meen a HID upgrade? Or just the fake bulbs? Well ive tried both, the fake cheap bulbs destroyed sum wiring loom. The HID kit is a massive improvment over standard headlamps. A worthwhile upgrade IMO. |

Clive, you have gotta get a HID kit. Its a massive jump forward, my lamps where like a candle hiden behind a piece ov glass. Now ive got new audi stlye lamps ![]() |

The upgrade is worth it On dipped beam the lights seem brighter than on main beam The only problem I had was when I informed the insurance company of the modification (upgrade). They wanted extra money for making the car safer to drive at night. Where's the logic in that. Went somewhere else for my insurance. |

Have factory litronics on my 993 , they are great , but of course only work on the dip , have upgraded the main beams and the fogs, which also makes things a lot brighter out front , so I imagine the aftermarket HID's are well worth fitting |

Clive, Be prepared for a shock, no pun intended, the kit for my car cost £383 in 2002 and that was from an OPC |

I paid £89 for the kit off flea-bay. And a me and mate fitted it in about 3-4 hours, a pain to fit due to removing the wheels, plastic shield from the archs ect, if it wasnt a 911 i reckon it can be done in an hour. I didnt like the sound of the cheap e-bay kits, seems to cheap. But the quality is bob on, the loom looks well made, no solder joints everything looks very factory fit IMO. I fitted everything so nothing is visible in the front, the ballast box,s are behind the plastic wheel arch liners, all the wires neatly hidden. And there only 30watts so less power drain! |
