Thanks Guys

All advice much appreciated, feel confident enough to tackle this simple job now.
I've grown a winter beard to protect my self from hostile projectiles including angry wife and steering wheel re-bound syndrome but I will certainly take your advice Jim and keep the nut in front of the wheel untill i get it moving up the spline.
Lets just hope the part turns up today so I can fit it tomorrow.
I got it from Mid Sussex, very helpful and gave 10% discount.
Guildford, very helpful nice people but couldn't give TIPEC a discount and quoted for the wrong part, vanila version.
£40 extra for the head lamp wash version.

I know OPC Tonbridge (Talk to John Hoskins) will always give TIPEC discount & will post out. They were very helpful with one of my guys doing a job where they pointed out that he was fine buying the big bits but would break the clips removing it. They spent ages searching for all the little bits that were literally pennies.

Hi Jim

Part arrived today, Mid Sussex as good as there word, very quick turn round but I'll give Tonbridge a go next time. Hope to fit it tomorrow, can't be soon enough for me, this happened on the way back from Brooklands and i haven't been out much at night since due to the headlight situation.

Tony
