Hi All :)

A friend of a friend has asked my advice about buying this 993....

This is the car in car & classic , its at DRC Motors

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C199408/

He has never owned a Porsche before and is a huge distance away (North of Scotland) so cannot come and see it unless its very worthwhile...

Now, I know a lot about 928s but not much about 993s...

I have explained all about PPIs to him and Porsche warranties...although this is too old i think for the warranty.

Could any 911/993 owners give me some opinions on the car.condition/price etc etc :)

The dealer has said this >>> "car has history file, MOT's etc., no respraying, no damage, correct tyres, receipts and they welcome any inspection.
"

How true that is, I have no idea lol :)

But would appreciate your input......

All the best Brett :)

Hi Brett

Looks to expensive to me for its age (N plate) (95 early 96)

If it hasn't had its 48K service then that costs an arm and a leg and discs only last about 45K, another arm and a leg including shims, sensors and pads

Has been messed about with IMHO. Rear track looks wide and wheels are not original

Also the vendor is not well known as a Porsche dealer IMHO

My rationale is that if it was a really good one then one of the noted dealers in the area would be trying to sell it as good ones do not hang about long
