My brother-in-law has a Carrera 3.2 which the previous owner has fitted with Turbo front brakes. It also had a new master cylinder shortly before he purchased it. The brakes need a very firm shove to get them to do anything and it only just past it's MOT as the brake efficiency was well down.
Has anyone else found this when fitting bigger brakes?
The travel is not excessive, just the pressure required. New pads have been fitted since the MOT incase this was the issue, but it has not resolved it and they squeal like mad. The flexy hoses have also been replace with Goodrich items and all of the rigid pipes have been blown out to ensure that there were no blockages.

Any ideas?

Standard possibly?
Receipt from Jasmine doesn't give a part number just says "master cylinder".
