Post subject: | Scam of the week |
I received a letter saying I was one of four people in the world chosen to be given £500 to gamble with and I could keep any winnings. No deposit and no catch was assured. As a sign of my shining trusting innocence I believed this. The southern tipec meet had been moved from Thursday to Tuesday without warning (they'll probably claim it was always on a Tuesday) so I gambled yesterday instead. After winning £143 I was told I could collect this by making a deposit of £20 - £50. After making a £20 deposit a message appeared when I tried to empty the account. I hadn't satisfied playing requirements! I was then told I had to bet 30x£143 = £4290 before I could get anything back including my deposit, as I'd been greedy enough to claim my winnings from the free £500. I asked what if I just lost the £143 in one bet, could I then not just get my deposit back. I was told yes. This all seemed so pointless I actually went and read the terms and conditions I was referred to after I kept repeating to the freephone support "what you're saying doesn't make a blind bit of sense to me". Apparently what I was told on the freephone support wasn't true. They said a lot too. If I'd just tried to lose the £143 to get my deposit back the first £20 loss would have come from my deposit. Not only that, the terms and conditions stipulate no conservative betting is allowed if one tries for the 30x unlikelyhood - thus claiming only reckless gambling satisfies the spirit of this Gambling Commission regulated casino. In fact the BlackjackBallroom.com reserves the right not to pay out on any bets they feel broke the spirit of their casino! Naturally I shall be giving them the opportunity to comment before asking the Gambling Commission to impress me. |

since always ! since we restarted the region, since the dawn of time ![]() infact having reviewed Genesis (the book of the bible not the band) I have found this: "And verily on the 3rd day which was a Tuesday the LORD tooketh HIS 944 cab (guards red as it was calledeth, HE hadnt made India by then so hence not indiscrott red )to the Southern region meet and all were sore amazed, as RO of the world and all its dominions HE thoughteth HE besteth visiteth a few regions. Lo the LORD came second in the streeteth concourse and was mighty pleased, vowing unto the assembled multitude that HE would consult with the archangels, heavenly host and Jon Mitchell about the funny rattle when pullingeth hard in fourth" see always a Tuesday. |

That's a scam too, the ticket was a complete dud. The gambling commission bloke didn't seem to understand English, but you get that a lot with regulators. |
