Recently needed to replace the hatch pin receiver catch on my 944S2 and after trawling through eBay to only find same age 2nd hand ones from the USA and a few companies again in the US that sold them new the cheapest I could find was $37 plus P&P. So I phoned the local Porsche Centre in Newcastle and not only did the guy know what I wanted by my rather poor description, he also knew about the slight difference in those fitted to a rubber or bridge spoiler style S2. The next surprise was the price £21ea plus VAT so I ordered two one for the broken left side and one for the right to make them both equal, final surprise was the fact he gave me 10% TIPEC discount without any trouble. Now I just need them to arrive and the weather to dry up so I can get them fitted. Update arrived yesterday so pretty quick delivery and charged only £2 for P&P of two fairly heavy items so really chuffed. |
