Post subject:  Praise for OPC Cardiff
Porsche Centre Cardiff just completed a repair on my 996 C4 (new steering rack)
As you would expect, the repair was successful and the car is back to its' best

The praise comes because:

1. They registered a brand new Boxster S for me to use, just because I was going on a TIPEC road trip on the weekend. The Parts Manager, Nick Mulcock, decided it would not be right to go without a Porsche (I already had a Mini on loan from them)
2. OPC Cardiff offer excellent discount to TIPEC members, thanks to our RO Sue & Mick Simmons. You will get 50% off labour costs and a good saving on parts. My repair bill was reduced by over £1200 from usual Porsche Centre prices
3. The people I dealt with were so helpful and very friendly. Couldn't help leaving the centre feeling not only satisfied with the experience but also feeling I had made several new friends

Nick is a top bloke. If I didn't have to drive past Bristol OPC front door to get to Cardiff I'd use him more often. (actually he's closer as the crow flies to WsM)

Good to hear your car is all back together Brian, that boxster was a beautiful loaner though...and it was a fantastic weekend too!

Agreed, Nick is brilliant, goes well beyond call of duty and has a genuine enthusiasm for Porsche.
Some great people at Bristol too. Several join us at the monthly meetings in Bristol. Again, if you mention you're with TIPEC, they will give you excellent discounts.

I guess we're very lucky to have 2 centres willing to work so closely with TIPEC and provide great service and value

Took the 996 to Prescott yesterday, it's driving very well again. I know we could have gone to Porthmadog in the Mini, but having the Boxster was a treat and helped Sarah & me feel more involved with the trip. It was so nice of Nick Mulcock to arrange that for us

In my limited experience, OPC Cardiff have been great.

Got my Box going in for its MOT Friday so fingers crossed for that! Major service due next year with potential for warranty extension - good to hear that there could be a bit of a saving with TIPEC membership.
